nothing gives people the right to bully others, regardless of gender/sexuality
anyone who bullies anyone is an asshole okay.
yoooooooooooooooo just wanna hop in on this real quick
Okay regardless of wether or not someone has been bullied, oppressed, or harmed in the past, using violence as a retaliation tactic is not the answer. It doesn’t make you cool or a better person for getting revenge. It just takes you down to the level of your oppressor. It makes you just as bad as they are. If you react violently to violence, then the cycle will just continue and nobody will be happy. I understand all the anger and hatred toward cisgendered individuals and their semi-automatic privilege, but you need to keep in mind that a lot of them don’t exert their privilege on purpose or they’re oblivious about the degree to which it hurts non-binary individuals. If you want change to take place, then violence is not the answer. However, some serious education is. Cis people need to be informed of how their privilege affects others and how they can put a stop to non-binary erasure, instead of being bullied and subjected to violence just as those they’ve oppressed. Don’t stoop down to our level guys, be the better person. That’s when change will happen. I mean, for the record, both Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. have both used non-violent means in order to counter their violent oppressors, and they got shit done, right? Follow their example. It’ll get you a lot farther.
tl;dr: Don’t bully cis people; educate them. Violence isn’t the answer because nobody, I repeat NOBODY should be bullied. Yes, not even dumb cis people.
Source. This is a real thing. It’s happening.
WHAT THE FUCK YOU GUYS THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DISCOVERY OF THE CENTURY
parrots are great yeah but why can’t there be parrot-sized dragons that you can pet that sit on your shoulder and breathe little streams of fire
what about dragon-sized parrots
that sounds legitimately terrifying actually
people who think fighting misogyny with misandry is an okay way to act
people who think ‘heterophobia’ is a solution to homophobia
people who call all cis people who are perfectly happy with the gender they have ‘cis scum’
people who call every white person they see ‘privileged’, ruling out other issues such as mental health/physical health problems, poverty and abuse/sexual assault
So, I was watching Meet the Robinsons last night and this scene came up, and then this just sort of…happened.
best. post. on. tumblr.
"i’m sorry because i’ve realized that what i said was fucked up and harmful" is very, very different from "i’m sorry because now people are mad at me and i want to placate them so that they’ll stop criticizing me" and the two are not interchangeable
buying fake followers on social media is like speaking to a crowded room except everyone is dead
